Overview

Goods receiving is the point where stock becomes visible. Deliveries are booked, checked against the expected quantities and only then put away.

A clean receipt prevents the arguments that start when a delivery was short, damaged or never expected.

Benefits

  • Stock is visible sooner
  • Shortages are caught at the door
  • Putaway is orderly

How it works

  1. 01

    Book the slot

Share the expected date, carrier and contents before the vehicle arrives.

  2. 02

    Check the delivery

Cartons or pallets are counted and obvious damage is recorded.

  3. 03

    Put stock away

Accepted goods are located and added to available stock once the receipt is complete.

Who it’s for

  • Brands receiving supplier deliveries
  • Importers landing UK stock
  • Teams sending stock from their own premises

Questions about Goods Receiving

An advance shipping notice, or a clear packing list, makes the receipt faster and the count more reliable. We will tell you the format we need.

The shortage is recorded on the receipt and reported, so your available stock is not overstated.
